About Pickering Garden

Since 2008, Seattle Tilth has been working to transform Pickering Garden into a place for community learning in partnership with the City of Issaquah's Office of Sustainabilty. This garden is framed by the historic Pickering Barn. The site features annual and perennial vegetables and fruits, demonstrations of organic gardening techniques with educational signs, drought tolerant plantings and fruit trees, a large cistern and numerous rain barrels, green roofs, an outdoor classroom, native plant garden, deer and rabbit fencing, and a dahlia demonstration bed. There's a picnic area and on Saturdays (April-October) a farmers market nearby.

Our Partners

Our work is made possible by support from the City of Issaquah's Office of Sustainabilty.
