Seattle Tilth CSA Workshares
Seattle Tilth CSA workshares are an opportunity to be directly supporting our farmers and your CSA. Workshare opportunities are also one way to make farm fresh, local organic produce more affordable for members, and help get our CSA shares out into the world. It's also just a great way to reconnect with the land, getting food to our plates, and have fun!
Out of respect for the hard work that hundreds of Seattle Tilth volunteers and interns give each year, we can’t offer entirely "free" shares to workshare members, and your work does have to be directly on our CSA program or on our farms. But we do have five workshare positions open this year!
Workshares are 50% off our share prices. Please contact us if you're interested in being involved directly in your CSA on a weekly basis. Workshare members must commit to:
- 50 hours of work throughout the season
- Commit to at least one Thursday morning shift (8 a.m.-3p.m.) every other week for CSA and Good Food Bag packing and distribution in south Seattle.
- May attend farm work parties at Seattle Tilth Farm Works with our farmers in Auburn to earn hours too. Second and last Saturday of the month from 10am-3pm.
The fine print:
By joining as a workshare member, you are committing to follow through on your hours for the season and supporting our farmers, Seattle Tilth and your CSA. If we don't see or hear from you for more than two weeks, we may need to cancel your share.
