Avian Influenza
If you own poultry, whether it’s your livelihood or
a hobby, you are invited to attend a free and
informative briefing about avian influenza on
Tuesday, October 3, 2006 (9 a.m. to noon),
at the Sheraton Tacoma. From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
there will be a seminar on how to use
biosecurity to protect poultry from bird flu,
testing and surveillance training, and
resources for responding to an outbreak.
A toolkit and handbook will be provided.
The briefing will discuss the steps being
taken at the Federal, State and Local levels
to address high pathogenicity avian
influenza (HPAI) should it be
discovered in domestic
poultry or wild bird
populations!
