Current Volunteer Opportunities

SPECIAL EVENTS AND PROJECTS
  • Our upcoming Chicken Coop & Urban Farm Tour will be held Saturday, August 18, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Volunteers can help by staffing our Tilth Alliance Information Booth, stationed at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands or by visiting tour sites, bringing materials, and taking photos. All volunteers receive a free ticket to the Coop Tour and shifts are broken up so you can enjoy your visits before or after you volunteer. Learn more and sign up to volunteer!

  • We are opening up the Good Shepherd Center Children's Garden for some pop-up volunteer opportunities from 10 a.m.-noon on the following dates: Tuesday, August 14, Wednesday, August 15, and Friday, August 17.

To RSVP, please email Rebecca Holbert and indicate which day(s) you would like to volunteer: rebeccaholbert@tilthalliance.org. Please RSVP at least 24 hours in advance to ensure that staff will be on hand. The Children's Garden is located at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford, 4649 Sunnyside Ave N, Seattle.

GOOD FOOD BAG PROGRAM
Let's make good food from local farmers more accessible in the community! Volunteers help pack Good Food Bags — weekly bags of sustainable, fresh produce, sourced from farmers during the season. Our program has expanded and we expect to pack around 800 Good Food Bags each week! Volunteer shifts are on Tuesdays, 3-5pm and Wednesdays, 10am-noon and noon-2pm. All packing parties are held at the Tilth Alliance Food Hub, 5131 S. Director St., Seattle, WA 98118. Check the schedule and sign up!
