Get involved, meet people, and learn new skills as a volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Tilth Alliance! Volunteering is a great way to learn and build skills, meet new people, and get involved in Tilth Alliance's mission.

Get Started

To get started as a Tilth Alliance volunteer, please:

  1. Complete a Volunteer/Intern Registration Form
  2. Attend a Volunteer Orientation (optional)
  3. Sign up for current volunteer opportunities

Current Volunteer Opportunities

  • Volunteer Packing Good Food Bags
    Let's make good food from local farmers more accessible in the community! Volunteers help pack Good Food Bags — weekly bags of sustainable, fresh produce, sourced from farmers during the season. Our program is expanding and we expect to pack around 800 Good Food Bags each week this fall! In October, volunteer shifts are on Wednesdays, noon-2pm and 2pm-4pm; in November and December, volunteer shifts are on Wednesdays, 10am-noon and noon-2pm. All packing parties are held at the Tilth Alliance Food Hub, 5131 S. Director St., Seattle, WA 98118
  • Special Events: Work Parties at Green River Farm (Kent)
    South of 1819 83rd Ave S
    Kent, WA 98032

    Saturday, December 2, 10am-2pm
    Help us protect the Green River in Kent! Learn all about Pacific Northwest plants and proper planting technique as we restore this flower farm and natural area located right along the Green River. And take home a native plant for your own yard! Learn more and RSVP!

  • Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands (SE Seattle)
    Drop in PNG 8650 55th Ave S; Seattle 98118
    Park at Beer Sheva Park and enter farm through gate at north end of park (.3 miles)

    Fridays, 10 a.m.-noon
    Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
    Wetlands restoration, farm and garden work

  • Good Shepherd Center Adult Learning Garden (Wallingford)

    Fridays, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (Work parties may not be held every Friday during the fall and winter; please RSVP in advance to be sure)
    Garden is located on the southeast side of Meridian Park
