Adult Teaching Assistant

Food Lust is a festive evening of local, sustainable dining, exciting giveaways and an auction of treasured goods and experiences that supports Seattle Tilth's mission.

Help with class setup, takedown, and sign-in for our adult education classes!

Tilth Alliance is looking for volunteers to assist with our adult educational classes. These classes are geared towards beginning to intermediate gardeners and focus on various topics related to urban food gardening, composting, cooking, and urban livestock. The classes are held at sites in the Wallingford, Rainier Beach, and Mt. Baker neighborhoods of Seattle and in McAuliffe Park in Kirkland on weeknights and Saturdays.

Class assistants help the instructor with set up, take down, registration, sales and hands-on activities. No prior knowledge of class topics is necessary. Class assistants participate in all aspects of the class and learn the same material as a participant at no cost. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to assisting several classes during the year.

Email info@tilthalliance.org to get started.
