Volunteer at Tilth Alliance's May Edible Plant Sale!

We need upwards of 500 volunteers at the sale during the week leading up to the event. Sign up today and attend the Early Bird Sale for free!

May EPS VolunteerThank you for your interest in volunteering at Tilth Alliance's May Edible Plant Sale! We'll need upwards of 500 volunteers at the sale on Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7, and in the week leading up to the event.

The May Edible Plant Sale takes place at Meridian Park in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle (4850 Meridian Ave N), which offers shoppers the largest selection of organically, sustainably and locally grown vegetable plant starts in the Puget Sound region!

Volunteers help with plant prep, set-up, education about plant varieties, check-out, cashiering, tear-down and more. Read more about the volunteer opportunities and sign up for a shift below.

New Edible Plant Sale volunteers are asked to attend a plant sale orientation at the Good Shepherd Center (4649 Sunnyside Ave N, Suite 107) on Tuesday, May 2, 6-7 p.m. Cashiers and Ticket Writers should attend a separate orientation instead on Wednesday, May 3; 6-7 p.m.

All volunteers have the opportunity to attend the Early Bird Sale the Friday evening before the public sale.

To help you find a good fit, position descriptions are grouped below by the following categories:

  • Set-up: Help with office-related tasks prior to the event, or help set up tables, plants etc. to get the venue ready for the event.
  • Plant Sellers: Help customers find plants on the sales floor, and share your knowledge of edible plants within a specific variety.
  • Customer Service: Greet shoppers as they arrive, help at the information or volunteer booth, or help with ticket-writing and cashiering at check-out.
  • Post Event: Help inventory and pack up remaining plants, clean up the venue, or volunteer for post-event data entry the following week.

Not sure what you'd like to do? Sign up as a Floater (under "Customer Service") to be assigned a position when you arrive for your shift.


SET UP
