Volunteer with Tilth Alliance

Get involved, meet people, and learn new skills as a volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Tilth Alliance! Volunteering is a great way to learn and build skills, meet new people, and get involved in Tilth Alliance's mission.

Get Started

To get started as a Tilth Alliance volunteer, please:

  1. Complete a Volunteer/Intern Registration Form
  2. Attend a Volunteer Orientation
  3. Sign up for current volunteer opportunities

Current Volunteer Opportunities

EVENTS
  • March Edible Plant Sale
    Help with plant prep, set-up, education about plant varieties, check-out, cashiering, tear-down and more at the March Edible Plant Sale. Prep positions starting soon; event is Saturday, March 18.
  • Food Lust Auction Intern
    Provide support to Tilth Alliance’s auction planning team by helping with item procurement, assisting with the auction database, and coordinating with staff and volunteers to create a successful event. Great opportunity for someone hoping to gain development, auction, or event experience!
 
FARM AND GARDEN
  • Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands (SE Seattle)
    Drop in PNG 5513 S. Cloverdale St; Seattle 98118
    Wetlands restoration and food forest work
    Fridays, 10 a.m.-noon

  • Good Shepherd Center Adult Learning Garden (Wallingford)

    Garden is located on the southeast side of Meridian Park
    Fridays, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
  • Master Composter / Soil Builder
    Participate in a four week, nine session volunteer training program with a community outreach component.
  • Soil and water stewardship training
    Receive hands-on training and join a team of community members to empower friends and neighbors to support local food systems and practice environmental stewardship in their everyday actions.
