Children's Garden Naturalist (volunteer rock star)

The Children's Garden is located in a garden-filled swimming pool northeast of the main Tilth demonstration garden. All the gardening is done by children with real tools just their size. Kids ages 2 to 10 care for our garden in Summer Camps and Programs. Come visit us and spend time in the magic of the garden!

For school groups Earth Steward school programs and tours provide hands-on learning for school classes. In-class programs on recycling and soil fulfill science requirements. For adults interested in the wonder of exploring the worm bin and eating right out of the garden, Volunteer Naturalists lead tours for children exploring garden ecology and having fun!

There are activities for children at each of our special events. From the kid's parade at the Harvest Fair to the craft activities at the Edible Plant Sale, children of all ages will enjoy songs, games, stories and hunting for insects.
