Garden & Farm Education Programs for Kids & Teens
Seattle Tilth's Children's Garden is sprouting young gardeners year 'round.
Children and youth learn to care for themselves and other living things through Seattle Tilth's garden and farm education programs. Together we discover where our food comes from. We taste fresh vegetables straight from the garden or farm, tend and harvest crops, collect seeds, make compost, learn about worms, insects and pollinators and explore our natural environment in hands-on science based learning.
SCHOOL GARDEN & FARM TOURS
During the school year, groups visit our organic gardens in North and South Seattle and our 8-acre farm at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands for hands-on science based learning adventures. Learn more.
MOBILE GARDEN CLASSROOM
We will bring our garden curriculum to you! Fulfill science requirements and choose from many dynamic lessons including: "Soil In A Box," "Worms on Wheels" and others. Learn more.
SUMMER GARDEN & FARM CAMPS
At Seattle Tilth's summer camps, kids 1-15 years old spend summer days outdoors being "urban farmers" -- discovering where our food comes from and learning about the natural world. Summer camp is also a time to have fun adventures exploring our gardens and farm, making art, singing song and playing games -- all with urban farm flair! Learn more about summer camps.
