• Teaching Peace Though Gardening, $10. This manual combines garden care with games and art for a fun and educational children's program (elementary school age). Mail order.
• Worms Eat My Garbage $12.95. The only book you'll ever need for worm composting by compost pioneer Mary Appelhof.
• Chickens in Your Backyard $12.95. For all of you who are interested in keeping chickens, this book is what you have been looking for. Designed for beginners but still suitable for all of you chicken veterans this book will go into detail of the ins and outs of keeping chickens. Written by Rick and Gail Luttmann. A great supplement to Tilth classes.
  

Worm Bins
Worm Factory worm bins ($95) made of heavy duty black plastic are available. We suggest you call in advance to make sure that we have one in the office for you. Contact the Garden Hotline for wooden worm bin sources or  for any worm bin questions.

Red Worms

To make sure we have worms in stock and for questions regarding red worms and composting, please call our Garden Hotline at 206-633-0224. Red worms (Eisenia fetida) are $25 for a pound, which includes an ample supply of worms, baby worms, and worm eggs to get your worm bin off to a start.
