May Edible Plant Sale 
  • May 5-6; 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • 4850 Meridian Ave N, Seattle
  • FREE to attendees. Get directions.

You’ll find an amazing selection of tantalizing veggies to choose from, including summer crops like tomatoes, peppers, squash and corn, foodie favorites, heirloom varieties, culinary herbs, edible flowers, pollinator plants and fruit trees and shrubs. The plants are the best varieties to grow successfully in our Pacific Northwest climate.

Plant Lists

  • All vegetable starts are organically grown and/or Certified Organic by Rent's Due Ranch in Stanwood, WA, Sunseed Farms in Acme, WA, Growing Garden in Bellingham, WA, Sound Vegetables in Redmond, WA, and The Root Cellar in Yelm, WA.

  • All herb and flower starts are organically grown and/or Certified Organic by Cascade Cuts in Bellingham, WA, Rent's Due Ranch in Stanwood, WA, Sunseed Farms in Acme, WA, Growing Garden in Bellingham, WA, Victor's Lavender in Sequim, WA and The Root Cellar in Yelm, WA.

  • Please be aware that we may not have all the varieties listed at the 2018 May Edible Plant Sale.  Occasionally, the growers will experience a crop failure or the plants will be too small to sell. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Don't forget to visit the Vendor Area at the sale! Wake up to fresh coffee and baked goods with Standard Bakery. Find bare root fruit, nut and native trees and shrubs at Burnt Ridge Nursery. Stock up on burlap, vintage gardening tools and more at Second Use Building Materials. Visit the chickens with Stone Soup Gardens. Plus many more!

Wristbands and Hot Tips

  • Plant Sale shopperA staggered entry system allows the maximum number of people to enjoy the sale and keep the entrance flowing smoothly during busy times (usually Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon, and Sunday, 9-10 a.m.). Enjoy vendors and activities in the lower field while you wait to enter the sale!
  • Bring wagons, carrying devices and friends (to help carry!). 
  • At the sale we will accept cash, checks with ID, Visa/Master Card debit and credit cards.
  • Please read our Hot Tips for Happy Shopping to maximize your enjoyment of this event!
