Now Accepting Nominations for Farmer of the Year

Tilth is accepting nominations for the Farmer of the Year to be awarded at the conference in Wenatchee, WA on November 12! Nominate your favorite farmer, mentor or someone else in the community you've always admired. 

To nominate a candidate for the award please review the criteria below and then complete the Farmer of the Year form. If you’d prefer to nominate using a paper form, please contact Laura Greenstreet: lauragreenstreet@seattletilth.org.

Deadline for nominations: Friday, Oct. 14

Award Criteria

  • Innovations in organic farming and/or livestock management, including crops and crop rotations; weed, pest and disease management; production strategies; development of value added products; or marketing.
  • Excellence in enhancing farming resources: soil, water, wildlife and biodiversity.
  • Inspiration and/or education of organic farmers, consumers and/or others in the organic farming community.
  • Adherence to organic and/or sustainable farming practices. Nominee does not need to be certified organic or carry other third-party reviewed certifications.
