Produce Processing Capacity in Washington State for Farmers and Buyers

  • Chris Iberle, Washington State Department of Agriculture
  • WSDA Regional Markets team will report on a USDA funded study of processing capacity and cooperative strategies for fresh cut, frozen, and dried produce in Washington State. We’ll cover the demand for local produce processing from farmers and buyers, produce processing businesses’ challenges and current capacity, and emerging strategies for value chain development to serve schools and other institutional markets. Come find out about processors that may be available in your area. If you are doing value-added products and can process for other farms, come offer that service to others!
